Bad news! Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has been diagnosed with the early stages of lymphoma. There is, however, some good news regarding the diagnosis and that is that it was caught early and Iommi is remaining positive about the matter. He is currently working with his team of doctors to plan his treatment strategy.

Sabbath reunited in November, which was the worst kept secret in rock music. Everyone knew it was happening, happily so! It's always a good thing for rock music when legends like Black Sabbath decide to give it another go round. The band is working on its first album in over 33 years and plans to tour behind it. According to a statement regarding Iommi's diagnosis, plans to release the album this fall are still on track, as the band has been working in Los Angeles with uber producer Rick Rubin. The other three members will head to England to work with Iommi there.

Black Sabbath have asked fans to send all their good vibes, thoughts and energy Tony Iommi's way, so we're doing just that. Get better soon, Tony!

Did you send a good thought/prayer/vibe out to Tony Iommi yet? Send three or four, please.
