The show also marks Wilson's last live show with Blackfield, after which the Porcupine Tree frontman will resume working on his next solo effort.
In other words, the show is shaping up to be a "can't miss" and extremely rare event that will see two masters of their craft take the stage together to enthrall fans of progressive minded rock.
There are several special guests set to appear as well, upping the show's "must see" vibe.
Since it is Blackfield's sole North American concert, anticipation is incredibly high.
Blackfield was started by Geffen and Wilson in 2001. They have released four albums since, the most recent being Blackfield IV.
Since the release of the third album, Geffen has seen his profile increase and expand exponentially. He has worked with legendary producers Tony Visconti and Trevor Horn; has played live with U2 and Placebo; and has been a judge on the Israeli edition of The Voice.
Geffen contributed the writing and vocals on Blackfield IV, while Wilson, who also mixed the album into stereo and 5.1 surround sound, added guitar and vocal parts.
Anyone plan to see Blackfield in NYC? It's their only NYC show! It's a rare event so you've GOTTA GO!
