blink-182 are coming to New York and New Jersey. Blink's opening act, New Beat Fund, will make charity donations.
blink-182's Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker have announced an intimate club show on September 10 at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ. The Starland Ballroom reopens in early September following damaging floodwaters at the hands of Superstorm Sandy, which destroyed or damaged more than 200 homes in Sayreville. At this show, the band will donate a portion of each ticket sold to Sandy relief as well as to research and treatment for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases. The Sandy Relief funds will be earmarked to assist Sayreville families through the Middlesex County Long Term Recovery Group.
Stronger than the storm! That's NYC and NJ!
They band will follow with a benefit show on September 11 at Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn. The band will donate their entire fee from this intimate performance to benefit burn treatment centers, plus research and treatment for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases.
