U2 are savvy investors taking advantage of the booming digital realm, where plenty of money can be made.

Frontman Bono and guitarist The Edge are expanding their digital business portfolios by investing in Dropbox.

The musicians each made millions after investing in Facebook and hope to repeat that success by investing in Dropbox, the free service that provides online storage for documents, photos and videos. So it's a place for big ass files. We just used Dropbox like 20 minutes ago, how ironic! Great service, we love it. Solid investment, U2 dudes!

The company tweeted the news, appropriately! A digital company tweeting about investors? That makes total sense. The following message was posted: "Dropbox is excited to welcome Bono & The Edge as investors. Thanks for the support and look forward to great things!" Exactly how much they invested has not been disclosed.

Meanwhile, U2 bassist Adam Clayton was defrauded by accountants and banks, and sued them over these issues.

    Do you use Dropbox?
