Due to safety concerns based on the possible effects of Hurricane Irene, the Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival has rescheduled the Sunday, Aug. 28 show at the Comcast Center in Mansfield, MA to Tuesday, Aug. 30. The US National Hurricane Center has warned that hurricane-level storms may occur in the area on Sunday. Better to be safe than sorry.
All tickets for the previously scheduled performance date will be honored at the rescheduled date on Tuesday, Aug. 30. For those unable to attend the rescheduled date, refunds are available at point of purchase.
"Safety first…We don't want any of our fans to get hurt," said M. Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold. "We decided to move the show from Sunday to Tuesday so all of you crazy fucks can make it and stay safe." Check out a video clip of M. Shadows by going here.
"We apologize for any inconvenience to the fans, but safety is our first concern. We want everyone to be able to enjoy a full afternoon and evening of rock at UPROAR," says Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival co-producer John Oakes." After the Category 3 storm blows through New England on Sunday, UPROAR promises to bring a Category 5 rock storm on Tuesday."
UPROAR ticket holders for the Boston show should more than understand the tour's design to exercise some caution in this case. A hurricane threat is no joke.
Stay safe, everyone.
