Seminal '90s indie-rock (also dubbed an "emo" band back in the day) quartet Braid are proud to announce their upcoming Summer headline tour. It will run for nine evenings on both the East and West coasts of the US, the upcoming tour will begin on Tuesday, Aug. 7 in Cleveland, OH, and culminate in a performance at Slim's in San Francisco, CA, on Sunday, Aug. 19.

Joining Braid on the entire tour will be Owen as well as Aficionado and Ts & the Past Haunts on select dates.

Braid were emo rockers before emo was rocking! They split in 1999 after earning beloved status in their scene.

"We've been feeling re-energized and inspired to create more Braid music for our fans, old and new," vocalist/guitarist Bob Nanna said. "Given the new ways to connect to our fans, not to mention the crop of young amazing bands coming up now, we couldn't just keep quiet and watch. We're excited to be able to release a brand new Braid album in 2013."

There you have it. Braid are back. Anyone else feeling college rock nostalgic?

Braid will be making the following appearances in August with Owen, Aficionado and TS & The Past Haunts.
