Brand New And Modest Mouse To Co-Headline U.S. Tour

In the holy grail of indie rock tours, Modest Mouse and Brand New have announced that they will co-headline a U.S. tour this summer. Kicking off at the end of June with stops at legendary venues like Red Rocks Amphitheater, Madison Square Garden, and the Forum in L.A., the tour will include 24 dates and wrap in Portland, Oregon on July 31st at the Moda Center. The tour will not feature any opening acts, with both Brand New and Modest Mouse playing full sets yet alternating the opening (or is that headlining?) spot. While both bands have shared bills in the past, this run will be the first time the groups will tour at length in tandem.
Indie rock veterans Modest Mouse returned to the scene last year with Strangers to Ourselves, the band's first full-length album since the release of 2009's No One's First, and You're Next. The album was met with generally favorable reviews and fans are currently anticipating the announcement of a follow up album frontman Isaac Brock confirmed earlier this year.
Brand New has built a cult following over the last 16 years and is currently gearing up for a 2016 release. Early last year the group released the single "Mene," their first new music since 2009, and recently put out Leaked Demos 2006 through their own record label Procrastinate! Music Traitors.
General tickets for all dates go on sale Friday, January 29th, with a limited number of presale tickets available now at Brand New's website.
