The mother of R&B singer Brandy Norwood has been removed from a lawsuit brought against the singer by DJ Marc Mysterio. The judge ruled that allegations against Sonja Norwood were too vague and also improper. According to BH Courier, the judge declined, however, to dismiss allegations against Brandy and her agent, Ryan Ramsey, which primarily involved breach of contract. Without getting too involved in confusing legalese, Norwood's mother was named in the suit since it is believe that the singer's family is involved in her business dealings.
Mysterio filed the lawsuit last and claims that Brandy, 32, accepted a check for $10,000 from him last July and promised to deliver 32 bars of music for a song, but that she never followed through or delivered the music. Mysterio claims he lost $25,000 as a result.
