Ha Ha Tonka Videos
The Ozarks might strike you as the last place to look for indie's next buzz band, but up-and-comers Ha Ha Tonka prove that hipster approved rock can turn up in the most unlikely places. Emerging from Springfield, Missouri, the quartet mixes indie rock with a southern twang and hometown sensibility. On the bands first official release, Buckle In The Bible Belt, Ha Ha Tonka tackle everything from local politics, to the overbearing presence of religion in the South with catchy melodies and the occasional four part harmony.
After attracting a large fan base through touring and blog buzz, the band landed a spot on this years SXSW, performing along side their labelmates on Bloodshot Records. After the short stay in Texas, the band hit the road again, continuing their non-stop barrage of shows across the U.S.. We caught up with the guys and shot a few questions their way to learn a little more about being a starving musician, white chocolate mochas and the immortality of a good guitar riff.
