Bret Michaels' two tour buses were pulled over last Wednesday night in northeastern Indiana due to a minor lighting infraction, where one of the trailer license plates lacked a light and authorities on the scene found marijuana and other unspecified drugs on the bus! Drug-sniffing K9s were brought on board and they found the stash!

The dogs "alerted for the odor of narcotics coming from the front bus," said Deputy Aaron Long of the Dekalb County Sheriff's Department. An additional search was conducted on the second bus where the dogs also detected drugs. The case will be forwarded to the Dekalb County prosecutor's office for review.

A rep for the singer, 47, told People that "Mr. Michaels allowed an open search of the buses and everything was handled in a professional manner." The travelers were allowed to go on their merry way after receiving a citation.

Perhaps the weed was being used for medicinal purposes? I mean, Bret did just have a brain hemorrhage earlier this year and maybe he needs to drug to take the edge off?

Do you think Michaels should make off with just a slap on the wrist?
