Spoken word...? Someone's getting pretentious
Brian Wilson Debuts New Material
In anticipation of Brian Wilson's forthcoming mini-tour throughout the UK, the former Beach Boy and songwriting legend announced details about the new material that he'll be performing. The suite That Lucky Old Sun (A Narrative) consists of five pieces "interspersed with spoken word," and is based on the 1949 song "That Lucky Old Sun."Wilson collaborated on this project with longtime friend and composer, the oft name-checked Van Dyke Parks. "I'm so excited to get back to the Royal Festival Hall and for all of my UK fans to hear my new composition 'That Lucky Old Sun (A Narrative)," Wilson said. "I honestly can't think of a better place in the world to premiere it." The performance will also include back catalogue classics.
There has been no confirmation on whether these new songs will get any kind of release.
