Ut oh. More bad news for ex-Libertines frontman Pete Doherty.
WENN reports that a British filmmaker's mother (still with us?) said that her daughter died of a heroin overdose after a "terrible" argument with Doherty, about whom she was shooting a documentary film.
Robyn Whitehead, 27, was filming the movie about Doherty, whom she once dated, during the final days of her life. They were said to have argued in London on Jan. 23, 2010, which is the day before died of heroin poisoning, before he left for his home in Marlborough, Wiltshire. Messy.
Whitehead's mother Dido told the court she spoke to her daughter on the phone the night before her death, recalling, "She told me, 'There has been a terrible row and I am very upset.'" Hmm, how tragically sad.
Doherty was said to have become "a little jealous" of musician Peter Wolfe, who smoked crack cocaine and heroin with Whitehead in her final hours. Really? Really.
Wolfe, who is serving time for supplying cocaine to Whitehead, told the court, "I was just aware Peter [Doherty] was quite upset I was spending time with Robyn, but I was not aware of any argument between the two. I think Pete was very fond of Robyn and I think they had a relationship before, so maybe he was a little jealous." Really? Really.
Wolfe added, "I was taking drugs throughout this time, and I did not encourage Robyn. She was asking to have a pipe of crack cocaine. I passed it to her once, or a couple of times. I didn't notice Robyn taking a lot of drugs." This is such a sad tale.
Doherty was jailed for six months for possessing cocaine stemming from a search by cops following Whitehead's death, but he was released in July after serving less than half of his sentence.
Do you think Pete Doherty, who once dated Kate Moss and nearly derailed her career with the Cocaine Kate photo scandal, will ever get it together, straighten up and fly right? He has been plagued by drugs issues for years.
