Oops!... She did it again. If any of you are still wondering if we are in the age of entertainment or if entertainment has influence over politics, more proof has been added to the pudding. Britney Spears is playing a concert on July 3rd in Tel Aviv, Israel, which is the same day Israeli Labor Party's hotly-contested primary was scheduled for. Turns out, the concert is such a big deal that the election has been moved back a day.
The Times Of Israel explains the party's elections committee's decision was based on concerns over heavy traffic due to an influx of concert goers making it difficult for voters to reach polling stations, and because there would be too few security guards available to work both events.
Britney Spears is still performing her residency in Las Vegas. Her next show is scheduled for April 7th. She will do so through May 20th, and then return in August. Spears released her most recent album, Glory, just last year and it reached number three on the Billboard 200.
Is Kanye West running for President of the United States in 2020? We're still not sure. But if recent history is any indication, we certainly wouldn't bet on him to lose.
