Britney Spears, Selena Gomez, Gwen Stefani, Adam Lambert and a host of others have contributed to a new single "Hands" that will benefit the victims of Orlando Pulse nightclub shooting. Proceeds from the songs will be donated to the Equality Florida Pulse Victims Fund, the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida, and GLAAD.
The track was written by Justin Tranter, BloodPop, and Julia Michaels. Mark Ronson joined Tranter and BloodPop in producing the track and Tranter said about putting it out, "The second I heard about this horrible tragedy where so many of my LGBTQ brothers and sisters lost their lives, I immediately got on a plane to Orlando. Putting this charity single together is just a way for me and everyone involved to keep volunteering our help."
The entire list of contributors to "Hands" include Mary J Blige, Jason Derulo, Halsey, Ty Herndon, Imagine Dragons, Jennifer Lopez, Kacey Musgraves, P!nk, Nate Ruess, Troye Sivan, and Meghan Trainor.
"Orlando's broken hearts have been lifted by the outpouring of love and support from people near and far. There has been beauty in the midst of our grief and we are grateful to these talented artists, producers, and GLAAD for helping us mourn and laugh and cry and sing together," said Equality Florida Executive Director Nadine Smith in a press release.
