Chris Marrs Piliero, the man who directed Britney Spears' controversial, Bonnie + Clyde style video for her flute-driven new single "Criminal," revealed that while the video is scorching in its sexafied content, Brit Brit and her co-star, boyfriend Jason Trawick, are chill as can be.
"It's an interesting situation, filming intimate moments like that between two people who, off-screen, would be sharing moments similar to that," Piliero told PEOPLE. "Off camera, Jason is a very cool, chill guy, which goes really well with Britney because she's so much the same … she's a really sweet girl that, when the cameras aren't rolling, she's just chilling out. They would just [hang] out together." Aww! Brit Brit is finally in a happy and healthy relationship.
The video ends in a hail of bullets and a sexy smooch between the real-life and on-screen couple! "When you're looking at that final kiss for the shootout, it's a loving very passionate kiss," Piliero said. "That was important to the video and that was passionate and natural on their end. That's a real moment between them."
"It was really painless," he added about the process. "I feel like all three of us had a really comfortable level of communication and trust."
So there you have it: a little light shed on Brit's relationship!
Brit, 29, and Trawick, 39, appear to be a cute + loving couple in real-life.
