Iron Maiden frontman, siren-like vocalist Bruce Dickinson is also a commercial pilot who often shuttles the band back and forth to European gigs while in the cockpit. According to Focus on Travel News, Dickinson is the favorite to win the World Travel Awards' "Face of Travel" 2010 trophy. The honor recognizes the celebrity that has made the biggest contribution to the travel and tourism industry over the last year.
Dickinson is the pilot and the Marketing Manager for Astraeus Airlines and he is being considered for his work in that role. His competition? California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, British expat footballer David Beckham and Kevin Spacey, to name a few. The winner will be announced on Sunday in London.
