Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan a Couple of Cops

Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan will star in A Couple of Cops, which marks the first major studio film to be directed by indie kingpin Kevin Smith.
The project was originally dubbed A Couple of Dicks and follows two cops who chase a stolen baseball card, rescue a Mexican beauty, and grapple with gangsters over laundered drug money. The film was in development at Gold Circle and at one point, Robin Williams and James Gandolfini were attached to star as the cops. Williams went on to sue Gold Circle in late 2008 over his pay-or-play deal, a contract where an actor is owed money regardless of whether or not a film is made. Warner Bros. has now picked up the project.
Willis made news earlier this week when it was revealed he is being sued over a breach of contract for dropping out of starring in and directing a film. His attorney claims the lawsuit is "without merit" and that the companies who are suing Willis didn't fulfill their own responsibilities by failing to put money into an escrow account for Willis before production started. Willis is planning to file his own suit against the producers imminently.
