    • Bullet for My Valentine - There's something that can be said for a band that has an audience howling way before they step out on stage. The house lights had not even dimmed for Bullet For My Valentine’s entrance, and the crowd was already chanting song lyrics and attempting to crowd surf – absolutely insane. Once Bullet made their much anticipated entrance the metal heads, moshers, and surfers only grew in their enthusiasm. Through "Your Betrayal" and "Scream Aim Fire," there were more crowd surfers then security knew what to do with. All the while BFMV shredded the faces of non-surfers. Though there was a good mix of songs performed from all three albums their set seemed a tad bit short, only playing about 12 songs. The crowd clearly loved every minute of every song but there was definitely room – and want – for more.-Lilly Ryden

Bullet For My Valentine bassist Jason James will be taking time off from the Welsh band's current North American Fall tour. James will be on leave from October 8 through October 17 attending to a private family matter and will rejoin the band on October 18 in Calgary. It is a brief hiatus, so please respect the band's privacy regarding this matter.

No dates will be cancelled and Escape the Fate, Black Tide and Drive A will continue to open on all remaining dates. Calvin Roffey, a musician in his own right and BFMV guitar tech, will take over bass duties until James returns to the tour. TEAMWORK!

Who is your favorite current metal band? Do you like BFMV's shreddy rock?
