Bullet For My Valentine "Temper Temper" Song Review — 5 out of 5 stars

"Time to explode," snarls Bullet For My Valentine singer and guitarist Matt Tuck on "Temper Temper", the first single from the band's forthcoming fourth album due out in early 2013.
That's exactly what Tuck and his cohorts do on this staggering salvo. "Temper Temper" fuses together airtight riffing from Tuck and Michael "Padge" Paget into an all-out assault of pinch harmonics and a distorted beatdown. Michael "Moose" Thomas holds down a stadium-size groove behind the kit, while Jason "Jay" James's bass resounds impressively.
Coming off 2010's phenomenal Fever, "Temper Temper" sees the group morph into an even tighter and tougher beast. The hook stands proudly alongside the band's biggest with massive infectiousness. Everything else leads up to a fret-burning display that's bound to inspire another generation of shredders.
With "Temper Temper", Bullet For My Valentine unleash a new metal classic that's simultaneously heavy and hypnotic. This has the makings of being their equivalent of The Black Album and further solidifying them as the genre's 21st century kings. Catch their fire as they explode now…
