Bully Are Not "Losing"

Back in 2015, Bully released their debut album, Feels Like. The industry immediately heaped praise onto the Nashville-originated quartet, with critics comparing them to 90's alt rock gods like Nirvana. Now the band has returned with their sophomore effort, Losing.
The new record finds lead singer and album engineer Alicia Bognanno documenting the complexities of growing up. Here, she tackles the angst of a young person just beginning to find their way in the world. From describing the manic mindset of being trapped in your own head to addressing the issue of personal safety and navigating the world as a woman, Bully's second LP confronts reality with raw insight and a mature intensity not often seen from a band that formed only four years ago.
ARTISTdirect's Christopher Friedmann caught up with Alicia Bognanno to discuss the band's new record, dealing with the pressure and anxiety of the adult world, and the advice she would give to women entering the music industry.
