The Bush is back... and not that Bush. (Take it to mean whatever you want, be it a former president or a patch of hair!)
Multi-platinum rock band Bush have announced a September 13th release for highly anticipated new album The Seas of Memories. Recorded with producer Bob Rock (Aerosmith, Metallica), this album is the seminal alt rock band's first studio release in 10 years and the first to be released via their own imprint, Zuma Rock Records, through an exclusive partnership with eOne Music.
Zuma Rock? That's also the name of one of frontman Gavin Rossdale's sons with Gwen Stefani.
About the album, Rossdale said, "When making music, you have a choice to repeat what you've done or move on. It would've been safe to just rework (1994's debut album) Sixteen Stone over and over, but what kind of life would that be? When you're driving down the road, you're focused on what's in front of you; you don't really think to keep checking in your rear view mirror. I like the idea of art changing, developing and morphing." Gav, safe drivers do check the rear view once in a while, but not all the time, and we know that's what you meant. We're stoked for the new album!
Props to Rossdale for taking some time off from diaper duty with the kids to rock again!
Seriously, though, his kids are really cute. But what do you expect; look at their DNA.
Will you swim in The Sea of Memories with Bush this September?
