Reuters reports that television cameras will be allowed to film the involuntary manslaughter trial of Michael Jackson's doctor next month, with one caveat. The cameras are permitted as long as they do not interfere with proceedings. Oh Christ! Is this going to be the OJ Simpson trial all over again? Does this really need to be a media spectacle? I predict a circus.
Dr. Conrad Murray's trial has been moved to March 24th, when jury selection will begin. Jury selection will not be filmed. The trial is expected to last about six weeks. The not-so-good doc has pleaded not guilty but faces up to four years in prison if convicted. Murray is said to have attempted to conceal Jackson's death and his hand in it, rather than administering to the needs of the dying pop star on site.
