Carlos Santana Reveals Autobiography Title

Carlos Santana is writing his autobiography and revealed what fans can expect. He also shared the tome's title.
He told VH1 Classic Radio, "The name is gonna be called The Universal Tone because very few people can actually say it like Bob Marley or John Coltrane or yours truly. Very few people by one note you recognize worldwide. So I feel really excited and this is a beautiful, beautiful time in my life to be able to just honor it by saying I'm grateful that I'm a product of all the things that I love from Harry Belafonte to the Black Panthers to Jerry Garcia. I'm all that."
He also shared the narrative direction, saying, "You know, most people tell autobiographies to vent about, you know, I got ripped off by this guy and it’s all really shallow, hollow, tell-all stupid shit that is not memorable. I want to talk about what’s it like to receive a phone call at three o’clock in the morning from Miles Davis and he’s asking you, 'What’s happening man? What’s going on?' Oh my god, it’s three o’clock in the morning and the Prince of Darkness himself is calling me!"
The Universal Tone is due out in English and Spanish in 2014.
We love the direction that the guitar god is going with the book. We're going to pick it up when it's out.
Will you be reading?
