"Call Me Maybe" queen Carly Rae Jepsen has booked a guest appearance on The CW teen soap 90210, according to TV Line. She will not be playing a scripted role; instead, she will perform.
Apparently, the No. 1 charting singer Jepsen will perform a new song off her new album in the opening ep of Season 5, which is scheduled to air on Monday, Oct. 8. Which song she will sing is TBD at this point.
Jepsen will serve as the headliner at Adrianna's Las Vegas premiere, which is interrupted when news gets out about Dixon's car accident. Gasp!
"We fell in love with her song when we first heard it, and used it in last season's finale before it was a national sensation," said 90210 exec producers Patti Carr and Lara Olsen in a joint statement to TVLine. "We think she's an exciting artist and are thrilled to be able to have her music on the show again, this time in a live performance in our season premiere."
Maybe she'll do "Call Me Maybe" for a sec, too?
Will you tune in to CRJ's guest spot on 90210?
