Singer Carly Simon turned 67 earlier this week, revealing the secret of her long-standing success to VH1 Classic Radio.
"I was always told that I was never in vogue," Simon, who has been making music for five decades, said. "I was always told that I was kind of classic or timeless. I mean, I never sort of went for something that was of the moment. You know, I didn't do disco."
No, you didn't, but you still did good. Being classic and not trendy ensures that you have longevity, lady.
