The drama surrounding I'm Still Here, the Casey Affleck-directed documentary about actor Joaquin Phoenix's transition from actor to rapper, has been fraught with controversy. From critics wondering if the film is a hoax to two sexual harassment suits levied against Affleck, the film feels doomed. Nevertheless, Affleck has settled out of court with the two women who worked on the film and brought cases against him.
"The disputes between Flemmy Productions, LLC and Casey Affleck with Amanda White and Magdalena Gorka in connection with the film I'm Still Here have been resolved to the mutual satisfaction of the parties and the lawsuits are being dismissed," reps for Affleck said in a statement. Financial details of the settlement were not disclosed and the women who filed the suits will receive credits on the film which they quit due to what they deemed a hostile work environment.
Is Affleck's settling of the suit an indicator of guilt, in your opinion? Is the doc a hoax?
