Cash Money Records has officially entered into a multi-million dollar partnership for an undisclosed amount with Chase Records. Translation? They are teaming up to take over pop music. Time to board this train or get run over. #YMCMB.
Under this unique collaborative initiative between Cash Money and Chase, 17-year-old rising superstar Austin Mahone (and newly-minted MTV VMA winner and possible Justin Bieber heir apparent) will release his full-length debut album later this year. See what we mean about a pop music takeover?
Chase will augment Cash Money's foothold in the pop world, expanding the label's sphere of influence in the genre and strengthening its overall impact, which is already rock solid and strong as an ox.
With more projects on the horizon, they've formed a genuine dream team for all forthcoming releases.
Mahone's success established Chase as a launch pad for new talent, and Cash Money proves the perfect partner. Cash Money Records co-founder and co-C.E.O. Ronald "Slim" Williams feels that excitement as well. "We've been colleagues with the Chase team for a while," he says. "As we continue our expansion, Chase Records is the perfect partner for Cash Money as we're both striving for excellence and now we're going to make history together. We've been watching Austin ascend to the ranks of pop music's elite. He's one of pop's most promising and powerful young contenders, and he's on his way to becoming a leader for the genre. As a brand, we cherish the chance to work with stars of this caliber."
Cash Money Records co-founder and co-C.E.O. Bryan "Baby" Williams aka Birdman added, "We were extremely impressed by everything Chase Records has done with Austin. We bonded over a similar mindset, and it made sense on every level to team up. I can't wait to see what we collectively accomplish."
In summation: Chase Records and Cash Money Records are ready to take over pop music. Their first project together will be the upcoming debut album release from Austin Mahone.
