Brooklyn duo Chairlift has been steadily pinging taste-making indie radar for over a decade. Formed in 2005, the pair, comprised of Caroline Polachek and Patrick Wimberly, has become known for their charming brand of synth pop dosed with intuitive hooks and intriguing lyrics.
The group just released their third full length album, the self-produced album Moth. As their sleek new single "Ch-Ching" suggests, it again confirms their place in the scene, one that here includes a collaboration with noted DIY artist Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson (and not that long ago, Beyoncé, when they were featured on her 2013 track, "No Angel").
ARTISTdirect Interviews' Adriana Roda-Stuart caught up with Polachek and Wimberly recently to talk touring, Lollapalooza, and finding inspiration in production on their new record.
