It's almost over for Charlie Sheen and his wife, Brooke Mueller. TMZ reported that the troubled duo signed divorce papers yesterday. This marriage was in the celebrity union death pool for months, after Sheen was arrested in Aspen, Colorado, on Christmas Day, for domestic abuse. The couple will share joint custody of their twin sons, Bob and Max, whose names sound like that of grumpy old men. Mueller will maintain primary custody of the tots, with Sheen seeing them three weekends a month.
Other fine points of the deal: Mueller waived her right to spousal support, but she will get $55,000 in child support. She also wants to make sure that child support paid for Bob and Max be the same amount that he pays ex-wife Denise Richards for daughters Sam and Lola. So, if I am doing the math correctly here, Sheen is paying over $100,000 a month in child support? Maybe he should consider condoms as an option in the future. But the again, he did return to his hit comedy, Two and a Half Men, so it does not appear that he has financial issues.
Sheen keeps the house, after he buys out Mueller's $1 million stake in the abode. They will split the revenue from the sale of photos of the kids to Getty Images by half. They were paid a little over $750,000 for the photos, since, you know, some things are not sacred. Mueller cannot talk to the press about Charlie's reported affairs or alleged drug use and Sheen cannot discuss Mueller's alleged usage, either. The kicker? They agreed to not insult one another in front of their kids or talk shit about each other to the kids.
Should Martin Sheen force his son and soon-to-be-ex-daughter-in-law to get Bob and Max into pre-emptive counseling now?
