Christina Aguilera is playing favorites. The diva hired her boyfriend, Matthew Rutler, to write songs for her next album. Aguilera and Rutler have been dating for two years after meeting on the set of her flop film Burlesque. Xtina's last album Bionic was also a flop, so she needs an artistic comeback to complement her breakout success on The Voice.
A source told JustJared.com that "Matt has come a long way from being a production assistant on Christina's movie Burlesque. He's now a songwriter, working on new tracks for her new album. People will be surprised by the sound they’ve put together."
