Chuck Palahniuk's Haunted is Optioned

Another novel by subversive fiction author Chuck Palahniuk has been optioned to become a film. Palahniuk shot to fame as the author of Fight Club, which was adapted into a film, while the recently released Choke was also based on one of his works. His 2005 tome, Haunted, which is a collection of 23 short stories that satirize reality television and the battle for credibility being waged in the wake of burgeoning technology that allows nearly anyone to publish their work, has been picked up by New School Media.

The book and film will center on a troupe of 17 writers who become imprisoned at a retreat and are forced to write about their situation. Belgian director Koen Mortier is attached to direct the film.
