Clarence Clemons, the saxophonist for Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, suffered a stroke at his home in Florida and was reportedly seriously ill at first, according to multiple sources. New updates indicate that he is a bit out of the woods although still in critical condition.
Clemons, 69, also played on multiple tracks on Born This Way, namely "The Edge of Glory" and "Hair." Lady Gaga requested his talents on a moment's notice and he dropped everything and flew to New York, since he is a self-professed "Gaga-ite" and could not and would not miss the chance to perform with the pop world's biggest star. She even Tweeted a message to Little Monsters on Monday, asking them to make "Get Well" videos for Clemons.
We send all of our thoughts and prayers to Clemons and his family. We pray for his recovery. He is immensely talented and versatile.
Are you a fan of "The Edge of Glory" on Born This Way? What is your favorite song on the record? Do you dig the ones that Clemons plays on?
