The Mowgli's Videos
There is a new initiative designed to combat bullying, called The Band Together to Banish Bullying Project, which has teamed up with artists who share compelling stories of their bullying experiences and who will team up to write a song together based on intel gathered from this campaign and project. Those who have been bullied will be a part of it, turning a negative into a positive. Find out how.
This unique project is intended to encourage teens and those affected by bullying to turn the pain of bullying into something positive. The program encourages teens to submit their own experiences with bullying, which can be anything from a picture to a poem to a video. Submissions are open from now until July 25 at the BTBB YouTube page. Get involved!
Clinton Sparks, The Mowgli's and Kylie Morgan, three participating artists, whose videos are posted below, will gather all of the submissions and work together to write a brand-new song inspired by the stories. The song and accompanying music video will be released at the end of September, just in time for National Bullying Awareness Month. This is a joint effort sponsored by the makers of Epiduo Gel and the Pacer National Bullying Prevention Center.
Clinton Sparks shares his story about being a bullying victim in the videos below.
So do The Mowgli's.
Then there is Kylie Morgan, who rose to fame with her hit song "Phoebe," based on the true story of a young girl who was bullied so severely that she took her own life.
Did you participate? Will you?
