Music industry mogul Clive Davis, who founded Arista Records in 1974 and fostered the careers of Whitney Houston and Alicia Keys, among countless others, has revealed in his memoir that he is bisexual.
Davis, 80, released his tome, The Soundtrack of My Life, this week.
A twice-divorced father of four, Davis says his first same-sex relationship began 30 years ago, during the Studio 54 heyday. Davis writes of exploring his sexuality: "Was I nervous? Absolutely. Did the heavens open up? No. But it was satisfying."
Davis told TV talk show host Katie Couric said that he is still attracted to women and doesn't think he has to prefer one gender to the other, insisting he bases things on the individual. We love his open-minded way of approaching his sexuality.
He had a monogamous relationship with a man for 13 years, which began in 1990. He has been with another man for the past seven years.
Are you a fan of the acts that Clive Davis has found? Will you read his memoir? The man has golden ears, so you should definitely dive in and read it.
