Dane Cook will release his I Did My Best: Greatest Hits album on Comedy Central Records on November 22. The album will also be available on iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, Audible and most digital providers.
Cook, who is beloved by fans but criticized by fellow comics as a joke stealer, has put together a collection of his best and most popular material, spanning his five full-length albums which have collectively sold over four million copies in the US and Canada alone. In addition to favorites like "Not So Kool-Aid," "B & E" and "The Atheist," the album features ten minutes of previously unreleased material, all re-mastered and newly cut together, making it a "must have" for longtime fans and those who want an introduction to Cook at his best.
The double-digipak contains two full-length CDs of two-and-a-half hours of Cook's best jokes. I saw Cook live in '05 before he "blew up" and I even met him backstage and hung out with him for a second! I am a huge fan, even though the cult of Dane Cook has become bigger than his comedy.
Combining energetic physical comedy, clever wordplay and trenchant observations about human behavior, Dane Cook's unique brand of stand-up comedy and accessible guy-next-door attitude have galvanized audiences of all ages.
