Pop up studio fun is to be had.
Yo! Left Coasters! Who are in bands! We're talking to you. Good news. Converse Rubber Tracks invites local emerging artists to apply for free recording time at the Converse Rubber Tracks pop-up studio in Los Angeles July 23 - July 29.
In partnership with Shiekh Shoes, seven lucky artists will be selected to record original music at the Converse Rubber Tracks pop-up studio in Los Angeles. Songs recorded at the pop up studio in L.A. will be entered into a fan-voted contest. The winner will be flown out to the Converse Rubber Tracks flagship studio in Brooklyn NY for a two-day recording session.
To register for recording time at the Los Angeles based pop-up studio, artists can visit the Shiekh Shoes website here.
On Aug. 2, 2012 the new tracks recorded by the seven finalists will be posted at this location for fans to vote and select a winner. The winner will then be announced on Aug. 25, 2012.
Artists are invited to go here to receive more information about Converse Rubber Tracks studio and instructions on the registration process to apply for either Los Angeles, CA or Brooklyn, NY.
Since the studio opened in Brooklyn last July, Converse Rubber Tracks has been providing emerging artists the opportunity to record in a state-of-the art studio at no cost. Converse created the studio as a means to support and facilitate an artist's self expression by allowing musicians an opportunity to register online, and if selected, record at Converse Rubber Tracks and in the end retain all the rights to their music.
The studio will be open daily from 11AM to 7PM July 23- July 29.
Any L.A bands planning to hit the Converse Rubber Tracks studio at the end of next month? We are so psyched it's coming to our fair city.
