Coolio, the rapper most famous for his 1995 single "Gangsta's Paradise," was booked on Saturday for carrying a loaded weapon at LAX Airport.

TMZ reported that, at 4:45 p.m. PST, Coolio was officially booked for Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. About three hours before that, officers told TMZ that Coolio's bodyguard first claimed possession of the bag, but a quick investigation determined other items inside it belonged to Coolio.

Officers also said that the rapper had already boarded a plane and they took him off to join his guard for questioning. Coolio apparently admitted to owning the bag and it was determined the gun had been stolen. Both were arrested for possession of a stolen loaded firearm.

On Sunday, Coolio posted a video response to his arrest from a P.F. Chang's restaurant. Spin reported that Coolio, born Artis Leon Ivey, Jr., was released on $37,808 bail. His bodyguard was not charged.

"Just wanted to say something about the little misunderstanding at the airport today," Coolio says in the video. "Everything's fine, I'm fine. I don't know what's going to be the result of this in the future but for now, I'm fine and I appreciate everyone's concerns."

Coolio is currently on the "I Love the '90s" tour, with Salt N' Pepa and Vanilla Ice.
