Drama, thy name is Courtney Love. Lawyers representing Love in a legal spat with another set of former attorneys have asked a Los Angeles judge to release them from the case. She can't keep an attorney.
WENN reports that Love was sued by Gordon & Holmes last year over claims she damaged the California firm's reputation with comments she tweeted. It was interesting to see Twitter factor into legislation, that's for sure.
Love became upset with company partner Rhonda Holmes after she asked the star to refrain from "any and all substance abuse." Love fired her team and then they declined to re-up with her as a client at her request. She, in turn, issued libelous statements about on Twitter, harming Holmes' career.
A new legal team at Pryor Cashman was hired, but now firm partner James Janowitz is asking to step down from the case, as Love hasn't paid the firm.
He also says that Love is incommunicado, making their job as her defense impossible.
Team Gordon & Holmes or Team Love? Does she have a bad rap and get the shitty end of the stick or is it warranted?
