Jesus, country music, radio and fast cars.
In a unique partnership Curb Records, one of the world's leading independent music companies, and Christian radio leader K-LOVE are joining forces to bring an inspirational message to the fast track world of NASCAR in 2012. So Jesus will factor on the fast track!
The partnership will focus on sponsorship of the #98 K-LOVE Car – the Ford Fusion piloted by 5th year NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Michael McDowell for the Phil Parsons / Curb-Agajanian Racing team. The theme Curb is bringing to the K-LOVE Car this season will be "Let It Start With Me," a messaging originally targeted by the recent Dove Award nominated song of the same name by Curb Records' Christian band, No Other Name. The alliance of Curb Records and K-LOVE in sponsoring the car's branding highlights a dedicated campaign in bringing the inspirational theme of the Gospel to NASCAR with a message designed to encourage Christians to live out the reality of Jesus Christ in their own lives as well as impacting their families and communities.
A dedicated Christian, 28-year-old Michael McDowell is well known within the racing world as a winning young driver and his open declaration of faith with an inspirational track side program, Finish A Winner. McDowell took the K-LOVE car to a 30th place finish in his second Daytona 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race in February. K-LOVE is marking a third season of partnership with McDowell who is on board to pilot the #98 K-LOVE car emblazoned with the Let It Start With Me branding for the entire 2012 Sprint Cup Season.
Mike Curb, owner of Curb Records, has a long and highly successful history of race team ownership in the NASCAR and open-wheel ranks. He became a partner with Phil Parson Racing this season. As the visionary founder of the Curb label imprint that bears his name, Curb oversees a successful Christian label roster that includes such award winning artists as multi-Grammy and Dove winner Natalie Grant, Selah, MIKESCHAIR, No Other Name, Marie Miller, and others.
