Dave Gahan Gets Tumor Removed

A severe case of gastroenteritis has caused a malignant tumor in David Gahan's bladder—a tumor that was successfully removed in the past few weeks. Doctors have ordered the Depeche Mode frontman to sit out all upcoming tour dates through a June 8 stop in Leipzig, Germany. Since that show was the second of two planned Leipzig gigs, fans are encouraged to trade in June 7 tickets for the day after or the group's June 10 show in Berlin.

According to an official statement, "Dave Gahan thanks fans for their support, understanding and pateicne. Depeche Mode deeply regret any problems or inconveniences the cancellations and postponements may have caused."
