Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl was honored in his hometown of Warren, Ohio with a pair of 900 lb. drum sticks. That's some big sticks. It gives new meaning to the phrase "Speak softly and carry big sticks!"

The gigantic sticks have been carved from poplar logs as a tribute to Grohl, who sat behind the drumkit for Nirvana. The sticks went on display on July 7 at the town's Warren Amphitheater.

In September, they will be moved to Dave Grohl Alley, which was dedicated to Grohl in 2009.
