Want to give to the charity of your choice and enjoy some DMB? If you live in or want to travel to Virginia, then you certainly can.

On Saturday, August 20th, Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds will play nTelos Wireless Pavilion in Charlottesville, VA. This special concert - their first acoustic show in Dave Matthews Band's hometown since 1994 - will give fans a unique opportunity to help create a better world while enjoying an evening of live music.  Immediately following Dave and Tim's acoustic set, Warren Haynes Band with special guest James Wilson of Sons of Bill will take the stage at the Jefferson Theater just down the street from the Pavilion.

Proceeds from both shows will be donated to charities selected by ticket purchasers at the JustGive.org website. After entering the redemption code from their ticket at JustGive.org, fans can then direct their ticket cost to any charity of their choice. JustGive.org is a website that hosts over 1.8 million charities, so the concertgoer has a wide range to choose from. Fans are encouraged to unite with neighbors and friends to support a mutual charity of interest, such as a local school, park or favorite community organization. The directed donations will be funded by the performing artists and a generous supporter.

The Warehouse ticket request period opened at 10:00 AM ET today, July 29th, at DMB's site and will end at Noon ET on Wednesday, August 3rd. The general public can purchase tickets beginning at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 5th, at DMB's site and 1:00 PM ET on Friday for Warren Haynes Band at Jefferson Theater's site

Dave Matthews was the first musician to embrace this unique concept of enabling fans to drive charitable contributions of their choice through his concerts. Dave first introduced this idea at his December 2010 shows in Seattle, which raised over one million dollars for charities chosen by ticket buyers. Dave Matthews and Dave Matthews Band have a long history of philanthropy in Charlottesville through the Horton Fund and the BAMA Works Fund, both administered by the Charlottesville Albemarle Community Foundation (CACF). Dave sees the impact fans can have on their community - and the world at large - by engaging in these unprecedented concerts.

Longtime friends and collaborators Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds have toured and recorded together over the course of DMB's career. They've released three live double-CDs together and Tim has also toured extensively with Dave Matthews Band, which has sold a collective 37 million CDs and DVDs combined. Warren Haynes is known as a powerhouse singer and guitarist - a reputation he's earned as a member of The Allman Brothers Band, The Dead and his own Gov't Mule. He has just released Man in Motion, the first full-length recording from his new touring band Warren Haynes Band.

What is your charity of choice?
