David Bowie Releases "Lazarus" Video

It's just one short day until the Thin White Duke officially releases his much-hyped, latest album, Blackstar, and today, we have yet another sneak peek into what's being called its "full lucid nightmare brilliance" with the video for the record's second single “Lazarus."
The video is directed by Johan Renck, "a music video veteran" who Bowie teamed up with when he wrote and recorded the theme song for Renck's new six-part European TV series, The Last Panthers. Renck also directed the first video in the Blackstar album cycle, the 10-minute-long eerie and apocalyptic title track that dropped in November.
Renck had this to say about working with Bowie on the project: “One could only dream about collaborating with a mind like that; let alone twice. Intuitive, playful, mysterious and profound... I have no desire to do any more videos knowing the process never ever gets as formidable and fulfilling as this was. I've basically touched the sun."
Bowie's new album, which is stylized as ★ and pronounced Blackstar, is the singer's 28th studio album and drops tomorrow, January 8, 2016, Bowie's 69th birthday.
