David Bowie, the 1975 and Rihanna all landed multiple nominations for this year's Brit Awards, the show which honors music released both in the United Kingdom and worldwide. Little Mix and Mercury Prize-winning grime artist Skepta also did very well for themselves; each receiving three nominations. Coldplay, Drake, and Zayn follow in the pack, each receiving multiple nominations ahead of February 22nd award show.

Voting for select awards is now open on the Brit Awards Official Website.

In the British Album of the Year category there are few surprises — Bowie's Blackstar, the 1975's I Like It When You Sleep for You Are Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It and Skepta's Konnichiwa are included, along with Kano's Made in the Manor and Michael Kiwanuka's Love & Hate.

Bowie, who was honored at the 2016 Brit Awards with a tribute which featured Lorde's highly emotive representation of "Life on Mars," is also up for the British Male Solo Artist award against Kano, Craig David, Skepta, and Michael Kiwanuka.

Calvin Harris featuring Rihanna's "This Is What You Came For", Coldplay's "Hymn for the Weekend," and Zayn's "Pillowtalk" are among the songs to earn nominations in both the Best British Artist Video and British Single of the Year categories.

Radiohead earned a nomination for the British Group, along with, Bastille, Biffy Clyro, Little Mix, and the 1975.

Among the international nominees, Leonard Cohen posthumously joined Bon Iver, Drake, Bruno Mars and the Weeknd in nomination for Best International Male Solo Artist.

Both Beyoncé and Solange Knowles will celebrate some sibling rivalry as they join Rihanna, Sia, and Christine and the Queens, for the International Female Solo Artist prize, while Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, A Tribe Called Quest, Kings of Leon, Twenty One Pilots, Drake & Future receive nominations for best International Group.

There is much speculation that this year's Brit Awards will feature a tribute to some of the many artists that died in the past year, including Leonard Cohen, George Michael and Beatles producer George Martin.
