At the 58th GRAMMY Awards, GRAMMY Award winner and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, the late David Bowie will be honored by six-time GRAMMY Award winner Lady Gaga. The music director for Gaga's tribute will be Nile Rodgers. Rodgers produced two albums with David Bowie, 1983's Let's Dance (EMI) and 1993's Black Tie White Noise (Savage). The GRAMMYs will air February 15th on CBS at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
In a statement, the Recording Academy said, "Affording audiences a chance to experience Bowie's music once again, the tribute will be a multisensory testament to the icon's incredible artistry and a reflection of his limitless creativity." This will be the fourth time Lady Gaga has performed at the ceremony. She is also nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media for "Til It Happens To You" with Diane Warren from the 2015 documentary The Hunting Ground.
Also slated to perform at this year's GRAMMY Awards are Adele, James Bay, Andra Day, Ellie Goulding, Sam Hunt, Tori Kelly, Kendrick Lamar, Little Big Town, Carrie Underwood, and The Weeknd. Two-time winner LL Cool J will be hosting for the fifth consecutive year. This will certainly be a special ceremony, and promises to be a real tear jerker.
