Joaquin Phoenix Videos
Joaquin Phoenix, the actor-turned-rapper (we think) who staged a very strange appearance on Late Show With David Letterman on February 20, 2009, sporting a scraggly beard and refusing to answer questions about his choice to abandon acting for a hip-hop career, will return to the show on September 22. Phoenix and Letterman will engage in verbal mano y mano on the show once again and it'll be Phoenix's first time on the show since his fateful appearance in '09, which was spoofed at the Academy Awards by Ben Stiller.
To promote Phoenix's next visit - and to remind fans of the awkward and hilarious antics of his previous visit- CBS will rebroadcast the February 20, 2009 appearance on September 16.
Phoenix is presumably returning to Letterman to promote I'm Still Here, the documentary directed by brother-in-law Casey Affleck, of which he is the subject. Affleck was pelted with two sexual harassment lawsuits by women who worked on the project. Many Hollywood insiders think the doc is a hoax. To call this production plagued would be the understatement of all understatements.
Will you tune into see how Phoenix behaves on his September 22 Letterman appearance? Do you think his career change is a hoax?
