CartDean Cain Not Surprised by Ex-Fiancée Mindy McCready's Suicide

Actor Dean Cain, the ex-fiancé of country singer Mindy McCready, who was engaged to the singer from 1997 to 1998, says he is sad but not shocked or surprised by her suicide. She killed herself on February 17.
In a statement, he said, "I was saddened but not surprised by her death, my first thought was of the poor kids. To think about the legacy those boys have been left, it's just tragic. This is a woman who had so much talent and just self-destructed."
McCready left behind two young sons, one who is just 9 months old.
