Devendra Banhart, Joanna Newsom Doc On the Way
Director/Currituck County frontman Kevin Barker has completed The Family Jams, a documentary about the tour to end all freak-folk tours: a 2004 bill featuring Joanna Newsom, Devendra Banhart and Barker's other part-time gig, Vetiver. Antony and the Johnsons and Espers also appear in the film, which premiers on April 2 and 3 at the Sarasota Film Festival. No word on a wide release just yet, but a trailer can be viewed here.—The ARTISTdirect Staff
