CartDiddy Shelled Out $850,000 to Settle 1999 Shooting Case

New court documents reveal that rapper and mogul Diddy dropped $850,000 of his own money to settle a legal battle with victims of a 1999 New York nightclub shooting. Diddy and his then-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez were caught up in brouhaha over this incident. It was dramatic and really bad for J Lo's public image.
Diddy and J Lo were arrested following the incident at Club New York more than a decade ago, and the rapper's protégé Jamal 'Shyne' Barrow served nearly 10 years behind bars on charges relating to the shooting.
Diddy was cleared of any involvement in the criminal case, but he and the club's owners were named in lawsuits by those who were injured and involved. They resolved the issue last year with a confidential settlement.
Well, it's confidential no more! Diddy shelled out nearly a million of the $2 million settlement. Most of the money was given to Natania Reuben, who suffered severe facial injuries.
