CartDiddy Sued Over Empress Perfume

It's never a dull moment in the life of a mogul who traffics in multiple businesses!
The New York Daily News reports that rapper/entrepreneur Diddy is being sued for allegedly stealing the name "Empress" from a Texas-based company called Empress Hair Care.
Diddy named his latest female scent "Empress," but did not do his homework to make sure the name was not trademarked and that he was legally allowed to use it. He did not seek permission from the hair care co. to use the moniker so now Empress Hair Care is seeking damages. They are also claiming infringement of a federally registered trademark and unfair competition.
